Ephemeral Informalism
2010/2016
"This indiscreet picture of the neighbors’ daily activities gives an example of the importance of subjectivity when introducing changes as far as the perception of the commonplace is concerned. His ephemeral informalism (…) form a representation of the poetic power of painting to refer to complex issues such as how the individual fits into the social body.“ (Amanda Cuesta)"

In the hallway inside La Escocesa (art creation center in Barcelona), among debris and graffiti, there was a sink where artists washed their brushes and tools. Right in front of the sink, around the drain, a puddle would form that I photographed for more than six years.
Ephemeral Informalism consists of approximately 190 photographs taken and edited on an iPhone. All images were published in real time on the internet between May 21, 2010, and December 4, 2016.
The project received a grant from La Escocesa in 2012.
