Marco Noris in residence at Institut-Escola Trinitat Nova
EN RESiDÈNCiA programme 2025–26
Artist Marco Noris develops a project during the 2025–26 school year at Institut-Escola Trinitat Nova (Barcelona) within the EN RESiDÈNCiA programme, promoted by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) and the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona (CEB), with mediation by A Bao A Qu.
The residency proposes a collective creation process with a group of 9th-grade students and the school’s teaching staff. Building on his artistic practice—centred on walking as a research tool, territorial memory and landscape as archive—Noris invites students to explore their everyday environment through new perspectives.
EN RESiDÈNCiA is a programme that brings contemporary artists into Barcelona’s public secondary schools, generating creative processes that integrate art and education. In this edition, Marco Noris’ proposal expands his research on landscape and memory within an educational context, strengthening the link between artistic practice and social territory.
Since 2009, the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) and the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona (CEB) have run the EN RESiDÈNCiA programme in public secondary schools, in collaboration with the Associació A Bao A Qu: an artist works alongside a group of students throughout the school year to co-create a piece conceived specifically for that educational community. The initiative aims to help young people discover contemporary creation processes, to turn schools into active spaces of culture, art and innovation, and to generate new creative and learning dynamics in the city.
