Cos d’Ebre / Cuerpo Ebro in Zaragoza: the river becomes a community body

Ebro felucca in Zaragoza

After 50 days of walking, on Friday June 6 the artistic project “Cos d’Ebre / Cuerpo Ebro” celebrates its arrival in Zaragoza with a collective, celebratory event along the Ebro River.

We will travel a stretch of the Ebro rowing in a traditional felucca, making body with the community of Radio Nikosia and with anyone who wishes to join this leg of the journey.

The proposal, in complicity with Iñaki Andrés—a native of Aragón and master of ceremonies—is a call for community synchronisation and dialogue with the waters, bringing into play the power of collective movement.

This collective celebration will culminate in a vermouth-and-conversation with the Nikosian community, where we will let the experience of the Ebro journey and its many dimensions flow: the relationship with the landscape, historical memory, borders, ecological conflicts and collective imaginaries, among others.

Thanks to Iberflumen for making the felucca available, and to Iñaki, whose hospitality and skill made this possible.

Thanks also to the drive of Radio Nikosia, coming from Barcelona to share this meeting and celebration with “Cos d’Ebre / Cuerpo Ebro”.

“Cos d’Ebre / Cuerpo Ebro” is a project by Marco Noris, created in collaboration with the psychoanalyst Celeste Reyna and produced by the Contemporary Art Center Lo Pati. The project will culminate in an exhibition curated by Andrea Pacheco González, to be held at the same centre, in Amposta, from September 6 to November 2, 2025.

Text and event coordination: Celeste Reyna.
